"How The Steel Was Tempered"

The book "How The Steel Was Tempered" influenced me profoundly when I was young. It's hard to count how many times I have read its comic books or the novel itself. My father always criticized me, asking why I didn't read other books. I told him that I didn't have another book, also I couldn't understand the other books. I'd read the book for so many times that I could exactly remember all of its details. After I finished reading the novel, I started reading comic books of it, looking at the gestures of Pavel Korchagin and admiring. This book was borrowed by my father from a boy in our village, who was several years elder than me. I started reading after my father finished it. The last part of the book was lost, which was torn out by a man from our village and used to roll cigarettes.
